ABOUT US.
A female-led and owned organization dedicated to creating meaningful and unforgettable journeys. We address poverty among women and youth, protect and preserve the environment and local culture, and promote gender equality through sustainable.
Like all great things, we started small. the idea of starting Kigoma Eco-Cultural Tourism came into my mind after seeing abundance of under-utilized cultural and natural heritage resources in my community. There was no one to provide the information and tours to visitors to our city and surrounding area. One day in 2018, my young brother returned home with two tourists from France found them on the street. They had no one to provide them with information about Kigoma and the local community. They spent the night at our home, and next day they went swimming at Lake Tanganyika and were introduced to local people.

WOMEN EMPOWERMENT & ECO TOURISM
At our core, we believe that tourism, when effectively utilized, is a powerful tool for alleviating poverty among women and youth. By focusing on sustainable and eco-friendly practices, we aim to create lasting economic benefits while preserving culture and the environment for future generations.

EMPOWER
We are committed to empowering women and youth by engaging them in sustainable tourism practices. Through various initiatives, we provide them with the skills and opportunities needed to thrive economically. Our approach not only boosts their financial independence but also fosters a sense of community and self-reliance.

Our efforts are directed towards bridging the gender gap in the tourism industry. By creating equal opportunities for women and youth, we strive to build a more inclusive and diverse sector. This commitment ensures that everyone can contribute to and benefit from the growth of sustainable tourism.

Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. We prioritize eco-friendly tourism practices that protect and preserve the environment. By promoting responsible travel, we help safeguard natural and cultural heritage, ensuring that the benefits of tourism are enjoyed by both present and future generations. Let's make change together!
